Born and raised in Maine, I grew up in a family of artists. Art is in my veins, it’s what I dream of and it’s my way of viewing the world.
I am the artist behind the camera who is always striving to create heirloom pieces of art with my camera in hand. Art is everywhere. My whole life I have seen things differently and found the beauty in everything. Not only is my job to capture and document your story, it is also to express the story in an aesthetic manner.
Since I was a kid, I always wanted to do SOMETHING with a camera. For a while that was to be a videographer but that dream soon turned to be a photographer.
Throughout high school I spent my time in yearbook club, film class, digital photography classes and darkroom photography. My passion really took off when I learned the darkroom photography basics where I spent many hours learning about manual camera settings and manipulating the post production of a photo in a dark room.
Professional Life
My name is Anastasia and I am a storyteller. Instead of words, I tell my tales with photos. Everyone has a story and I can’t wait to capture yours. I love art, fashion and creating. Catch me at antique shop, scrolling through fashion and home reno tik toks and always itching to create art.
After high school, I was ready to work towards goal of becoming a wedding photographer. I attended Central Maine Community College where I majored in Graphic Communications. The GRC program was incredible and really taught me everything I needed to achieve my goal. I not only got to learn about studio lighting, photoshop skills and composition aesthetics, I also got to work with graphic design for the first time. This was right up my artistic alley and was exciting to learn as I had never touched upon digital art before. It was very challenging at first but by the end of my time there I was skilled in Adobe programs and invented my own cohesive branding that tied every design together seamlessly. I graduated with honors and now am a board member at CMCC for Graphic Communications where I look over students portfolios and provide feedback based on their projects.
It’s now my fourth year of being a photographer and I truly am doing what I love. I now get to share my art with individuals passionate about their story as well as others. I am able to capture moments that could never be recreated. I am able to create stories that will be passed down for generations. I able to make art with you
What sets me apart from other photographers is my passion to be creative and bring other’s moments to light the way they envision it. Photography is just a portion of what I do. I am always excited when I’m asked to do a special project, bring my artistic eye to a new idea and teach others how to apply design principals to their own passions. If you’re ready to get creative, you’ve come to the right place!
I spend most of my time with a camera in hand, but when I’m not behind the lens, I’m usually at an antique and thrift shop for unique objects and vintage art pieces to bring into my creative studio, The August Room. I love finding pieces that feel like a little bit of history—and now, my studio is filled with those collected treasures that help shape the space and spark inspiration.
Personal Life
My boyfriend is a chef who owns a few restaurants, and he recently launched his mobile bar, The Draught Horse, which means we now get to work weddings together—a fun mix of food, drinks, and our worlds colliding in the best way.
If we’re getting dinner together, just know I’ll probably suggest oysters, sushi, and a great cocktail. Ask me about my favorite spots—I always have a list.

I’m also someone who will happily plan a day (or trip) around where I’m eating. In the past couple of years, I’ve been to Miami twice, visited Florida three times, snuck away to Boston for bites, and saw Hamilton in NYC! I’m obsessed with oysters (so much so that I make and sell decorative oyster trinket shells), love sushi, and do a little food blogging on the side! I love to get out of Maine on weekend trips when I get a chance. Miami is my favorite place I've traveled to and hope to live there part time one day!
